Phased-Array Feed Workshop
by Doug Hayman (CASS)
From Tuesday through Thursday, experts in phased array feed (PAF) development for radio astronomy will be gathering at the CSIRO Radiophysics laboratory in Sydney for a workshop. We have 27 talks and 60 registrants. The presentations include theoretical investigations, current designs, commissioning instruments, enabling technology developments and alternative uses of PAF technology. Two highlights will be the extended talks from Ron Ekers on The Development of Focal Plane Arrays in Radio Astronomy and Dave McConnell on Astronomy with PAFs on ASKAP. See http://www.pafworkshop.org/ for more details.
