Subject: Production version of Karma (v1.7.25) available
Hi, all. I have updated the production version of Karma to
v1.7.25. This is available on the WWW from:
http://www.atnf.csiro.au/karma/ftp.html
The PostScript user manual is available at:
ftp://ftp.atnf.csiro.au/pub/software/karma/user-manual.ps.gz
NOTE: The <khuei> tool is now obsolete, as its functionality has
been added to the <kvis> tool. The <khuei> tool will be
removed in the next release.
NOTE: i386_Darwin support has been added. This currently uses the
emulation layer in MacOS, so performance may suffer on the
Intel-based Mac systems.
NOTE: due to temporary access problems, the MacOS binaries were built
on a MacOS 10.4.7 system, whereas previously they were built
on a MacOS 10.3.x system. Please report any problems on older
systems.
What you get:
- Memory optimisations when resizing windows
- Small improvement for progress meter
- Fixed bug when displaying on a screen with only 8-bit visuals
- Added support for mouse scroll wheel to scrollable lists (file
browser, data browser, colourmap control, etc.)
- Added '+' sign when showing velocities in axis labelling
- Fixed offset problem when drawing axis labels with FELO axis
- Do not assume J2000 if EQUINOX/EPOCH keywords are not given, instead
leave as unspecified
- Added "Draw Circle" feature to kvis so that image scale can be seen
- Improved the way the decimator control panel retains settings
- Extended cross-window cursor tracking in <kvis> to draw line markers
when only one co-ordinate matches
- Fixed bugs in <khuei> which could cause crashes under some conditions
- Added Hue-Intensity support to <kvis>
Regards,
Richard....

Subject: Production version of Karma (v1.7.23) available
Hi, all. I have updated the production version of Karma to
v1.7.23. This is available on the WWW from:
http://www.atnf.csiro.au/karma/ftp.html
and for anonymous ftp from:
ftp://ftp.atnf.csiro.au/pub/software/karma/current/
The PostScript user manual is available at:

What you get:
- Recognised "SFL" as synonym for "GLS" projection
- New variant of data replacement feature in <kvis> which does not
retain settings of old dataset (intensity range, contour levels,
etc.). This uses the '~' key, rather than the '=' key
- Fixed bug when displaying on a screen with only 16-bit visuals
- Improved progress meter for decimator widget
- Fixed bug in <kvis> when displaying on a screen with 8 and 24-bit
visuals and when the default visual is 8-bit
Regards,
Richard....
