"[duchamp-user]" [Duchamp] New release: 1.1.10

Gday all,

This is a short note to let you know there is a new version of the Duchamp source finder available.

This version has a couple of important fixes, most notably for the ability to grow objects. The previous incarnation of the growing algorithm was rather inefficient, particularly for the case of large, extended sources. A different approach is now being used that is much quicker, and should make examining such data more feasible. Other parts of the program - the actual source finding and the merging of sources - should also be slightly faster (but not by the same degree as the growing). Many thanks to Tara Murphy for pointing out the problem and helping resolve it.

There are several other new minor features and bug fixes - see the CHANGES file in the release for full details.

The new code is available for download from the usual place:
http://www.atnf.csiro.au/people/Matthew.Whiting/Duchamp/downloads.php
and any feedback (which is always welcome!) should be done via the Trac wiki:
http://svn.atnf.csiro.au/trac/duchamp/newticket

I hope Duchamp continues to be of use to many of you.
Happy finding!

Matt Whiting.
