Hi all,

Aus-VO participants might be interested in the following
ARC discussion paper:

http://www.arc.gov.au/pdf/e-Research_support_discussion_paper.pdf

"A PILOT IN E-RESEARCH SUPPORT DISCUSSION PAPER"

Following is the text of the ARC announcement, including tentative
dates for short workshops in most capital cities. It would be good
to have Aus-VO and/or APAC Astronomy Grid Project representation at
some of these workshops.

 - David.

>The outcomes of the access workshop on 10 June, together with comments and
>feedback from the State capital city
>consultative workshops will shape a pilot competitive funding scheme which
>the ARC plans to take to the ARC Board
>for its consideration in its July meeting. When approval is given by the
>Board, the ARC plans to run a competitive
>funding program under the ARC Special Research Initiatives program, and
>will call for submissions aiming to
>provide funding to the successful applicants by the beginning of 2005.
>
