The ftp log records lots of downloads, in particular of darwin_x86 and
linux, but also quite a few of miriad-code so perhaps some are trying
the source code installation. However, so far I have really only
received useful feedback from a couple of people. This could mean

  a) You installed it without problems and got on with other things.
  b) You had insuperable problems and put it aside in disgust for
     another day.
  c) You haven't got around to it yet.
  d) ???

So, what was it? I would like to know that it works properly on a
variety of systems before making any general announcements.

When I made the last announcement I was still working on the HTML
documentation. I've now finished that and in doing so have reorganised
the html area (in miriad-common) and made it a bit more self-contained -
i.e. replaced external links with local ones wherever possible. If your
$MIR/html/ contains oodles of files you will need to update it from
scratch. Download miriad-common.tar.gz to $MIR/.. and do the following:

  cd $MIR/..
  rm -rf $MIR/html
  zcat miriad-common.tar.gz | tar tvf -
