My feeling is to keep simple, at least in the first iteration. The
suggested improvements will be good for version 2, after we get some
experience?

For 12 GHz, we have only a single room-temperature receiver that needs
to be specially installed. It has not been done for many years and I'm
not sure if it possible at the ATCA now.
For 22 GHz, all antennas are equipped. So it is possible to phase up to
5 antennas, depending on the ATCA configuration at the time. So, for 22
we should treat it like all the other bands.
