Dear All,

We (Tim Natusch and I) are back to New Zealand. We went through the
Customs smoothly: just 10 min in Melbourne and 20 min in Auckland.
(Compare to 6 days it took for DHL to deliver everything from NZ to
Hobart.) In terms of money it is pretty much the same amount (DHL charged
us $900; on our way back we payed $700 for the extra weight).

Today (ANZAC day) we mounted the receiver and the feed to Brent Addis
Radio Telescope (BART?). Tomorrow Tim will check all our equipment
(especially the clock) on the bench again.

Exuasted and excited at the same time. Let me thank everyone for making
our
Hobart test possible. Special thanks to Brett Reid, Eric Baynes, Simon
Ellingsen, Guiseppe Cimo, and to Steven Tingay who came from Swinburne to
help us. Many thanks to Peter McCulloch for proposing this test and for
great discussion we had.

For Tim Natusch it was the first time in real radio astronomical observatory and radio telescope(s). Due to his background in theoretical physics, radio electronics and astronomy he immediately became an invaluable part of the team. We are very lucky to have Tim Natusch. Thank you Tim and congratulations.

Kind regards,
Sergei
