v183a (doy 135)

Dear vlbiobs-ers,

Two questions concerning v183a (obs. of VSOP Survey Program sources):

# Code Band setup Antennas start stop
# frq/bandw/#pol/#IF
# ----- ------------------- -------------------- -------- -------
VT02d4 4.8GHz/16MHz/LR/disk At-Mp-Pa-Ho-Cd 135/2000 135/2100
V183a 4.8GHz/16MHz/LR/S2 At-Mp-Pa-Ho-Cd-Hh-Sh 135/2100 136/2100

It's currently scheduled with polarizations LR, the same as the preceding
vt02d4. However, as VSOP Survey Program obs. were all LL, and as
Shanghai is participating (and I haven't yet managed to tweak the
existing LBA setup file for LR so that SCHED will run with Shanghai
included), would it be acceptable to all stations is v183a was
observed in the standard VSOP LL mode? If changing from the LR of
vt02d4 to LL for v183a is likely to present any problems, please
let me know.

Also, it's not clear to me how amp.cal. scans on 1934-638
for internal ATCA baselines should be included in the schedule.
Is inserting several 5 min scans for the whole LBA an acceptable
(and the easiest) way of doing this?

Cheers,
Phil
