VLBI test experiments - PLEASE READ

Hi All,

Please could all observers/observatory managers read this!

Sorry for the late arrive of these plans.

I have just put up the schedules/wiki for vt02f1. I hope we can run a
fringe test by 11am ADST on Thursday (00:00 UT). Could please please let
me know if this is unlikely to happen.

I have also scheduled vt07a1 for UT 02:00-06:00. This is a 512 Mbps/1 Gbps
test. It requires non-standard setup (ie the new improved BG3 cables). I
assume the first hour or two will be used for local tests reading some
data, running fauto etc) and the second two hours for coordinated
observing between all observatories. I will need to distribute DAS
profiles for this experiment. Experienced observers will be needed for
this test!

From 06:00-10:00 after this experiment I will run some PCFS tests at
Status: O

At-Pa-Mp to test running the DAS from the PCFS. This will require running
the pcfs from the new recorder PCs and connecting the DAS to a serial port
connected to this computer. Hobart and Ceduna are welcome to take part in
this experiment using either the new pcfs or normal observing. I won't
have much time for helping setup the newest pcfs though.

The following vt07 experiments have not yet been scheduled. These will
depend on the broadband links to ATNF observatories. I have now only
requested Ho-Cd for the last vt07a experiment (dayno 76) and even then may
decide not to use them.

Cheers
Chris
