Hi telescope users,
The Hobart Mount Pleasant ADSL service is back with a different IP
address. It is expected that this will remain for the remainder of this
LBA run and for the immediate future.

Telescope computers are again available from within the UNI firewall in
the normal way, eg ssh username_at_host.<!--nospam-->phys.utas.edu.au

Direct access to the recorder (HOVSI and Swarm) can be obtained from
outside the UTAS firewall using the method described in the updated
version of the message John Miezitis (UTAS ITR) sent on Oct 28 last year:
----------------------
The Mt Pleasant site is using an ADSL service with static IP
203.49.211.218. The site uses a VPN tunnel back to Tas Uni unfortunately
we cannot route external traffic over the VPN tunnel which means external
traffic must use the ADSL address and be port address translated (PAT).
Given these limitations to access HOVSI you will need to ssh on port 22
to 203.49.211.218 and to access SWARM you will ssh on port 222 to
203.49.211.218.

To gain access to the remaining ports you will have to tunnel via the ssh
sessions.
---------------------

Giuseppe succesfully tested this today from an ATNF computer.

I believe the list of allowed outside hosts (other telescopes, pentane
etc) that can do this remains the same as in November last year.

Regards,
Brett
