When recording VLBI experiments

Hi All,

Just a friendly reminder of procedures during VLBI experiments.

In all experiments (particularly if anything non-standard happens, like a wind stow), make comments in your telescope's log page for that experiment on the wiki (eg links on http://www.atnf.csiro.au/vlbi/wiki/index.php?n=LBAFeb2009.V255D). Where appropriate also record telescope & back end configuration. Log any down-time you experience as accurately as possible (obviously the correlator will figure it out, but it's good to have a guideline) - also give a reason for the downtime (eg windstow, power outage, observer stuff-up!, etc.).

In disk-based experiments, record the FULL name of the disk set (eg "ATNF V002 B").

Please endeavour to ALSO update the disk summary table http://www.atnf.csiro.au/vlbi/wiki/index.php?n=Main.DiskSummary
for that disk set, to reflect the whereabouts of the disk, how full it is, and what experiments are recorded on it (see other disk sets for examples). This makes life *much* easier for us when figuring out what's on each disk set.

If you don't have access to a wiki editing account and you're not a UTas person (who should use Brett's), contact Chris Phillips.

Thanks very much for your help!

Cheers

Claire
