ASKAP telescope officially opened

Senator Chris Evans, Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills, Science and Research, officially opened CSIRO's newest radio telescope, the Australian SKA Pathfinder, on 5 October 2012. The Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory (MRO), on which ASKAP is sited, was also opened as part of the official proceedings.
