ATNF Head of Engineering Operations

CSIRO is advertising the position of Head of Engineering Operations.

The Australia Telescope National Facility (ATNF)
Head of Engineering Operations will have responsibility for the engineering operations and maintenance of CSIRO’s radio telescopes in New South Wales and Western Australia.

They will lead approximately 30 staff who provide engineering and technical maintenance, operations and upgrades. Through team leaders and engineering staff based at the Observatories, they will ensure that the engineering work at all Observatory sites is well-planned, efficiently carried out and well matched to CSIRO requirements. They will also play a core role in the strategic planning required to consolidate operations of the Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder (ASKAP) telescope into the SKA and prepare for Australia’s leadership role in the international Square Kilometre Array project.
