2005 ATNF Summer Vacation Scholarships

CSIRO Australia Telescope National Facility (ATNF) offers scholarships to graduate and undergraduate students who have completed undergraduate courses of three years or more in Astrophysics, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or closely related subjects.

ATNF is the premier radio astronomical facility in Australia and operates world-class radio astronomy observatories at Parkes and Narrabri, with headquarters in Sydney. Research projects offered for the 2005 summer vacation program will be in the areas of Astrophysics, Computing and Engineering. Placements may be either in Sydney, or at the Australia Telescope Compact Array near Narrabri.

Scholarships will be available for 10 working weeks starting Monday 5 December 2005 until Friday 10 February 2006. The stipend is $500 a week. Each student will undertake a research project under the supervision of a research engineer or scientist.
