JOB VACANCY - Electrical Technician

We seek a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Technician (Power)with Facilities Management experience to undertake the maintenance and repairs of a range of electrical systems for radio telescopes across the ATNF observatories and provide Facilities Management services to the buildings and infrastructure at the Parkes Observatory. The successful applicant will lead a small team of technical and property services staff.

The position will be based at Parkes Observatory, familiarly known as “The Dish”, and works closely with other engineering staff to ensure a high level of reliability of relevant telescope systems across the ATNF Observatories.
The appointment level and salary will be negotiated (within the range indicated) on the basis of the appointee's qualifications and relevant experience. Reasonable relocation expenses and assistance with accommodation may be provided.
