The Low Frequency Universe (LOFAR)

21:00 Thu 30 Jan to 08:00 Sat 01 Feb 2003

University of Sydney

There is a possibility for Australia to join the LOFAR project and to locate the telescope in Australia. The meeting is therefore an opportunity for the Australian astronomical community to think about the exciting science that can be done with a low-frequency array.

The aim of the meeting is to discuss the science which can flow out of observations made at frequencies below 250 MHz. The topics covered will include ionospheric, solar system, cosmic ray, galactic and extragalactic astrophysics.

This is an open meeting, all are welcome to attend and provide contributions. We would like to encourage as many people as possible to attend.
