Gas and Magnetic Fields in Galaxies with ASKAP

ATNF Marsfield Lecture Theatre

In June 2009, the ATNF will seek submissions for large survey proposals
using the Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder (ASKAP). The goal
of this workshop is to discuss the prospects, issues, challenges and
synergies for ASKAP survey proposals relating to studies of magnetic
fields (synchrotron emission, polarisation, Faraday rotation) and the
diffuse interstellar medium (HI emission and absorption) in the Milky
Way and in external galaxies.
