A three-day workshop for teachers of Stage 4-5 Science. This workshop covers the content and skills needed to teach the astronomy component of the junior Science syllabus in an effective and engaging manner. Participants will have the chance to meet astronomers, tour the Parkes radio telescope and network with colleagues. Sessions will emphasise hands-on, practical experiences and night time observing using small optical telescopes will be held, weather permitting. All participants will receive a resource pack that they can use back at their schools. | ||
