Double Helix Events at CSIRO telescopes
The visitors centres at Parkes and Narrabri Observatories host and organise fun science work shops for Double Helix Science Club Members and other local children.
Forensic Frenzy at Parkes Observatory
Come and be the detective. We’ll be using scientific processes toanalysis evidence to solve a robbery just like Crime Scene Investigators.

T-Shirt Chromatography at Parkes Observatory
We’ll be using chromatography techniques to make fantastic designs on your t-shirt or excite new life into other household itemspillow cases, tea towels or small tablecloths. Please bring something to dye.

Deconstruction Derby at Narrabri Observatory
Do you want to know how things work and fit together? At the Deconstruction derby you can pull things apart and look at their insides (there may even be old bits of the radio telescope to deconstruct!).
