ATPMN

The Australia Telescope follow-up of the PMN 4.85 GHz survey

with the Compact Array at 4.8 GHZ and 8.6 GHz

A selection of fields centred on PMN sources observed with the Australia Telescope Compact Array in 1992-1994, but a final catalogue was never published. These data have now been reduced and a catalogue has been prepared; a paper submitted to MNRAS was accepted on 9 Feb 2012: "ATPMN: accurate positions and flux densities at 5 and 8 GHz for 8385 PMN sources" by McConnell, D., Sadler, E.M., Murphy, T. and Ekers, R.D.

ATPMN sources on a polar plot of the sky south of Dec = -38 degrees.  The open red circles show fields containing a source too extended for ATCA imaging: no sources were found, but the maximum visibility exceeded 30 mJy.

The ATCA observations observed fields centred on all PMN sources between -38.5 and -87.5 degrees with 4.85 GHz fluxes > 70 mJy (> 50 mJy south of -73 deg).  Fields on the galactic plane (|b| < 2 deg) were omitted.
