Toiletry Poetry
Poetry Gems from Japan.
In March '99, I was fortunate enough to go to Japan (gotta love those conferences!), and while there I became introduced to the incredible world of Japanese poetry. I'm not talking here about haiku or anything, but rather the little poetic messages (in English, of course) that can be found on the "hygenic" wrappings containing the complimentary toiletry gifts in hotels.
I present here all poems found in my hotel room (at the Hotel Kitcho), with their original titles, formatting, spelling and grammar. (Note: "Disinfected" comes from the plastic cover containing a glass. I assume it was the glass that was disinfected...)
Disinfected

I can take to the skies. I can soar like a bird. With his heart fullof song. Won't you color my eyes. I've been waiting so long.
