Observing Proposals

Proposals should be made on the attached application form. It is strongly recommended that the VLBI scheduler be contacted prior to application. Proposal forms in LaTeX format are also available via anonymous FTP from ftp://ftp.atnf.csiro.au/pub/atnfdocs/proposals/ or the WWW on http://wwwatnf.atnf.csiro.au/vlbi/.
See the CA Guide to Observations for additional details.

Proposed observations, if approved, should normally be scheduled within 1 year of approval. If observations cannot be scheduled within 1 year, the proposal will lapse and the proposer will be notified. Lapsed proposals may be resubmitted.

The primary constraint in scheduling VLBI observations is the availability of requested non-AT network telescopes, especially Tidbinbilla and Perth.

Proposals should be sent to:

The Director
Australia Telescope National Facility
PO Box 76, Epping, NSW 2121
AUSTRALIA

or electronically in Postscript format to:

proposals@atnf.csiro.au

(details on http://wwwatnf.atnf.csiro.au/Observe/Apply/electronic.html)
