The intermediate-mass black holes (IMBHs) occupy the mass range between the stellar (sMBHs) and supermassive black holes (SMBHs). IMBHs can help explain how first SMBHs were formed, since depending on the formation mechanism simulations predict different fractions of IMBHs in low-mass dwarf galaxies in the local Universe. The fundamental plane can help estimate the mass of a black hole detected both in radio and X-ray band, accreting at the sub-Eddington levels.
