The Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder, ASKAP,
consists of thirty-six 12-m diameter antennas, equipped
with Phased Array Feed (PAF) receivers.
This view shows antenna AK05, in the centre of the array,
in the foreground, with AK13 in the near distance, and
AK32, one of the outermost antennas, almost 4km off
in the distance. All antennas have been given names in
the local Wajarri language: AK05 is gagurla (bush pear),
AK13 is jabi (small lizard), and AK32 is
woodarudda (a hill on Yallalong Country).
