The screen shot above is from
a time-lapse video made by
Alex Cherney of the Australia Telescope Compact Array.
The fuzzy blob in the sky just left of centre is the Large
Magellanic Cloud, a neighbouring galaxy to our Milky Way -- and
an object that has been studied in detail with the ATCA.
At the left hand side of the image the ATCA Visitors Centre
can be seen, with the lights from the Control Building
also evident in the background. The ATCA antennas were in
one of their most compact array configurations at the
time the video was made.
