Peter te Lintel Hekkert

Welcome to my Home Page. I was one of research scientists at the Parkes Radiotelescope in Parkes. I have moved on since then and I am now a consultant (ICT and e-Business) in The Netherlands. However, I still have a great fondness for Astronomy and for my old station in Parkes. Having said this my new details are:

In my spare time (after the rest of the family has retired for the night) I still do some work on my favourite projects, see below.

I am member of the following project groups:

The late stages of stellar evolution: from early AGB to Planetary Nebulae.
Kinematics and dynamics of the Galaxy.

At the moment I work on the following projects:

The evolution of stellar envelopes.
IRAS 15452-5459: the fastest of them all.
OH 231.8+4.2: an analysis of its envelope.
Face-on Galaxies.
ESO 214
OH/IR stars in the LMC.
OH/IR stars in the GC.
Water masers in AGB stars.
SETI.

My main non-scientific interest is Indian Dance, KuchiPudi style. My favourite dancer is Padma Menon, one of the top ten dancers in the world in the field of Classical Indian Dance as well as a highly acclaimed cheorographer. Padma Menon's Home Page.
