The Charlene Heisler Prize
The Charlene Heisler Prize commemorates the
life of Charlene Heisler, who was a young gifted astronomer who died tragically
in 1999. As well as her contributions to science, which won her an
international reputation, her greatest gift to astronomy was her ability to
inspire and motivate those around her. The aim of the "Charlene Heisler
Prize" is to continue her work in encouraging young people to take up a
career in science and to have fun while doing so.
