I currently work for
CSIRO at the Australia Telescope National Facility in Epping, New South Wales where I am currently Project Lead for computing for the Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder. In addition, I am Research Program Leader for Software Development at the ATNF. As well as these duties, I actively pursue multiple lines of research, and am co-supervising three PhD students. I’m probably best known for my work on data processing for radio synthesis telescopes, on which I’ve been working since 1976.

On 19 November 2012, I will start work as the Lead for Computing at the Square Kilometre Array office at Jodrell Bank in the United Kingdom, returning 36 years after I started my PhD in 1976.
