Gemini & SKA MNRF Symposium 2005

Marsfield Lecture Theatre
June 7, 2005

Background
The Gemini & SKA Major National Research Facility (MNRF) was funded in 2002 with the goal of maximising Australia's engagement in next generation telescopes at radio and optical/infrared wavelengths. To achieve this, it has purchased an additional share of the Gemini telescopes, extra Gemini nights, and has funded SKA technology development, including upgrades to the ATCA and MOST. Symposia are held annually to feature recent science and technology results. The 2005 symposium will highlight recent Gemini science, ELT participation via MNRF, and site testing results from Mileura.
