HALCA STATUS on Dec 17, 1998
The rebooting of the on-board computer has been successful and the
HALCA recovery is proceeding very well. If there are no unexpected
delays and the previous computer problem does not reappear, we would
like to begin HALCA observations on December 21, 1998.
A tentative schedule for the period December 21, 1998 to February 10,
1999 appears below. We have used a previous HALCA schedule which was
compiled on November 6 as the basis for the new schedule. We have
made modifications based on revised ground telescope schedules, but
many further modifications will have to be made. PLEASE LOOK
CAREFULLY AT THE FOLLOWING SCHEDULE and report any problems as soon as
possible to
efomalon@nrao.edu
We hope to revise the schedule through February 10 in about one week.
A longer term schedule through May 31 will depend on HALCA
performance, and should be available around in January.

for HALCA. We hope and look forward to smooth operations.
