    The HALCA problem is associated with the attitude and control system. One of the four reaction wheels is inoperative. We expect that HALCA observations can resume in a few weeks, although observations will be limited to a small region of sky and slewing between sources will be slow. All observations through November 7 have been cancelled, and it is likely that HALCA observations will be further delayed. Please check with ISAS and this WEB page for an updated schedule. We also expect that 40% of the presently scheduled observations through December 1999 will have to be modified or cancelled in order to fit into the new pointing and slewing constraints. As soon as these constraints are determined, the schedule will be revised. The schedule for the period November 7, 1999 to December 31, 1999 appears below.
