Radio and ultraviolet emission from the northern middle lobe of Centaurus A

Presenter: Susan Neff (NASA / Goddard Space Flight Center)

Abstract: We present new 90 cm images of the Northern Middle Lobe (NML) of Centaurus A. The radio morphology at this wavelength is indicative of a more complex system than either a straightforward flaring jet (Morganti et al. 1999) or a bubble with trailing stem (Saxton et al. 2001). New limits are placed on the lack of radio emission from any corresponding southern counterpart to the NML.
