Accommodation is available in the nearby town of Tripolis and buses will be available to transport the participants each day to and from the workshop venue in the village.
The LOC has approached some of the hotels in the list below. The hotels have offered the block rates as indicated below for a limited number of rooms (10-15 per hotel) and for the week 29 May to 4 June. Note that these rates are well below (~30%) the current web-advertised rates.
Participants will be able to book rooms until April 30. After these dates rooms could be still booked as available, at the prevailing rates at the time of booking. Consult the hotel webpages for more details on what is offered by each hotel. Please note that, even though a block booking rate is offered for the workshop, special rates at any time may be offered even below this block rate.
Participants should approach the hotels directly either
by Phone, Email or Fax and I'm assured that hotel staff speak sufficient English to make the
bookings. Please make sure that in your message or conversation refer to:
"Block bookings for the Astrophysics Workshop in Kerastari,
organised by Tasso Tzioumis".
Do NOT book via the internet as the special rates do not appear. Best way is via email.
The room rates are quoted with a light breakfast. Also some refreshments will be available at the workshop every morning before starting.
Self-contained appartments and more traditional accommodation is also available in nearby villages and resorts.
Thus a car will be needed for local transport. These may also be suitable for people who may want a
vacation in the region. Locations and availability can be explored on the web (booking, tripadvisor etc).
More recently appartment hotel accommodation has become available in Tripoli itself and those are also listed below. However, the listing are from the web and the hotels have not been approached directly.

NB: Bookings are the responsibility of the participants and should be
handled directly with the hotels.
