- OCE Postdoctoral Fellowship (3-years)
CSIRO Astronomy and Space Science (CASS) is looking for an enthusiastic Postdoctoral Fellow to join the vibrant and diverse CASS Astrophysics Group. The Fellow will work closely with Dr. B. Koribalski and her team on the ASKAP HI All Sky Survey (WALLABY). This is an exciting time to join the WALLABY team, contribute to the ASKAP spectral line commissioning at ATNF, and carry out ASKAP-12 early science with a great team. The position is located at the ATNF Headquarters of CSIRO Astronomy & Space Science (CASS) in Sydney, Australia. This is a 3-year appointment that comes with a generous discretionary research allowance. - If interested, please contact Baerbel.Koribalski at csiro.au .
- 2017 Bolton Fellowship (3-years)
CSIRO Astronomy & Space Science (CASS) invites applications for the 2017 Bolton Fellowship, Australia’s longest-standing prize fellowship. It is aimed at exceptional early-career individuals who wish to establish themselves as independent research scientists with a deep knowledge of modern radio astronomy, obtained via a program of research closely aligned with the use, operation and development of CASS’ radio telescope capability.
The Bolton Fellow will join the CASS astrophysics group. Members of the group conduct world class research through innovative use of the ATNF suite of instruments, fulfil key roles in telescope commissioning teams, and provide operational support for these instruments and their diverse user base. The Fellow will be based either at the CASS headquarters in Sydney or at the offices of the rapidly-expanding branch of the group based in Perth, benefitting from the close ties that CASS maintains with numerous local Universities and astronomical research organisations in both cities.
