Led by Mr Graham Moorey, this group has a staff of approximately
13 engineers and technicians and
is responsible for the design and construction of essentially all ATNF
front end receivers.
Their expertise lies principally in the areas of passive microwave
devices, HEMT LNAs, cryogenics, RF and IF systems.
Current major projects include:
- 2.3 GHz receiver support for NASA's Galileo program at Parkes.
- 1.4 GHz 13 beam front end for the
Parkes 21 cm HI multibeam project.
