Title: Limits on the Hot Diffuse Galactic Halo
Abstract: The combination of existing observations plus theoretical considerations place constraints on the mass and extent of the hot gas around the Milky Way. The mass of hot million degree gas within the virial radius is less than 1010.5 M☉ and the accretion rate onto the Milky Way from such a halo must be moderately low, 0.2 M☉ per year or less.
