Title: Progress in HI Studies of the Milky Way Disk
Abstract: Over the past 10 years there has been great progress in surveys of the Milky Way 21-cm emission and absorption of interstellar atomic hydrogen, HI. This paper will consider results from the all sky LAB and GASS surveys together with the higher resolution GPS surveys of the inner and outer disk. Looking ahead to the next decade, some specific challenges emerge, particularly regarding the warm vs. cool phases of the HI.
