Synchronise the Clocks

$\bullet$ Before starting any correlating, you must check that each and every S2 playback to be used is set to the same time as the master clock. The master clock is the display with big red numbers on the wall of the correlator room, near the lbacop-mm screens.

The S2 display of UT is on the top right of the s2at windows.

$\bullet$ If the times do not agree, set the times correctly in each S2 window that is incorrect by typing:

s2 console$>$ time hh:mm:ss

And hitting return at the appropriate time corresponding to the Master Clock Display.

$\bullet$ After a power-fail, it will be necessary to restart the master clock, which is located in the delay and fringe-rotator rack. Check with correlator staff if this is necessary.
