This is an eVLBI demo for eResearch 2009.

Setup

Run Parkes, ATCA and Mopra telesope setup as per normal

eVLBI

  • eVLBI controlled from VNC session cave00-ext:1
  • Run errormon in an xterm to receive all DiFX messages
  • Run eVLBI by

cd correlations/vt11/vt11w./run.sh

Monitoring

  • Run the monitor server as

monitor_server 9999

  • To get a list of products

difx_config vt11w.input

  • To see up to 4 products (e.g.)

mon_sample localhost 0 8 16 24

Troubleshooting

  • Watch errormon, mon_server and mon_sample are updating. The monitoring sometimes freezes but the DiFX correlation continues. If this happens, kill the monitor clients, then kill monitor_server.
  • If monitor_server will not start (port busy?), try killing pgplot client and server. If this does not work, try waiting 1 minute.
