Sydney 12-15 July 2005 4th eVLBI workshop, Sydney, Australia 12-15 July 2005 ------------------------------------------------------ Dear colleagues, It was a pleasure meeting all of you at the 3rd eVLBI workshop at Makuhari in Japan and I look forward to future collaborations on eVLBI. As you may recall, we agreed that the 4th eVLBI workshop will be held in Australia in July 2005. Here are a few more details as a very preliminary announcement. I will supply much more information early in the new year. As we decided at Makuhari, the week 11-15 July 2005 offers the best compromise as far as dates. I propose to follow a similar format to the previous meeting i.e. Monday 11 July 2005 - arrivals Tuesday 12 July 2005 - arrivals and/or associated meetings. The networking community is interested in at least 1/2 day meeting and we will be organising that. **ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS??** Wednesday 13 - Thursday 14 July 2005 - eVLBI workshop Friday 15 July - follow-up or other meetings? Excursions? SUGGESTIONS? For excursions we could organise a few activities if there is interest: - Day excursion(s) near Sydney e.g Blue mountains - Day excursion to a winery in Hunter Valley region. Possible overnight? - 3 day excursion to visit our observatories (ATCA, Mopra, Parkes). Note that the distances are long and 3 days are needed. Shorter visits to the observatories can be arranged if you are prepared to fly there. Please, let us know of any suggestions for the program, other associated meetings you may want to hold, particular excursions of interest or any conflicts that you may know about. Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year to all of you. See you all in Sydney in July.
