Millimetre Science Workshop 2002
Thursday, 21 November 2002
Following the success of last
year's workshop, which was focused on science opportunities for
the ATCA 3mm and 12mm upgrades, this year's workshop will focus on the
first results from the upgrade. Mopra results will also be presented.
There will be time to discuss future capabilities and directions for
both ATCA and Mopra.
The workshop will be held at the Marsfield Lecture Theatre of the CSIRO
ATNF outside Sydney, starting around 10:30 am. There is a
locating Epping relative to Sydney and a map
showing how to get to ATNF from Epping Railway Station
here). If you
are taking a taxi or bus, indicate "Epping & Vimiera Roads in Marsfield";
the CSIRO is one block south of Epping Rd at Vimiera & Pembroke.
Register at CSIRO reception and walk through the library and corridor and
up the stairs.
The final program, with links to the
presentations, can be found here. The workshop will
start at 11 am and finish by 5 pm. Morning coffee will be served
at 10:30 outside the Lecture Theatre; afternoon coffee at 3:00.
Lunch is self-service at the canteen. There will be drinks and a
barbeque on-site after the workshop.
There is no formal registration requirement, but we ask that you e-mail
Tony at firstname.lastname@example.org
so we have a rough idea of numbers for coffee breaks.
For those visiting from outside Sydney, the on-site Marsfield accomodation
is available for $50 a night, with a 50% discount for students. Please
