Abstract: As galaxies evolve, they transfer their baryons into different forms and between fellow galaxies. This talk will follow gaseous baryons from a dwarf galaxy to a galaxy like the Milky Way. Through the combination of new observations and comparison to simulations, we can consider the fate of gas in a galaxy halo and how it can eventually become star formation fuel.
