It’s wildflower season in Western Australia!  The season starts in July and lasts through to October.  There are more than 12,000 species of wildflowers in Western Australia and the Midwest region of the state, which includes Inyarrimanha Ilgari Bundara, the CSIRO Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory, is home to one of the largest varieties.  Good winter rains this year have triggered vibrant, widespread blooms, as this image by Craig Pope illustrates!
