A recent ADAP showed a “pea souper” (very thick fog) at CDSCC. Today’s image is a recent winter morning at ASKAP on Inyarrimanha Ilgari Bundara, the CSIRO Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory with the remains of a low-lying fog. The green dot is a lens flare, which happens when a bright light source like the sun is internally reflected by the camera’s glass lens elements and the digital sensor.
