The 1st of October is International Coffee Day, and a previous ADAP marked the occasion with a photo from the opening of the Dish Cafe at the Parkes Observatory back in April 2003. The Cafe has been closed for many months while the kitchen underwent a major refurbishment, but it has now re-opened. James Moon, owner/operator of Moon and Co Café, is ready to keep visitors well fed and caffeinated, with the Café open every day from 8:00am to 3:00pm. And aside from food and drinks, the cafe offers fantastic views of Murriyang, the Parkes 64m radiotelescope! (Image credit: Tricia Trim)
