Gday all,
This is to let you know that I have released an update of the Duchamp source-finding package. This is an incremental update, called v1.1.5, with a couple of bug fixes and some new, albeit minor, features.
The main bug that has been fixed concerns the calculation of integrated flux. When a beam correction was required, the previous code was incorrectly scaling the integrated flux by the object's spatial size. This scaling has been removed and the integrated flux should now be correct. Apologies for any trouble this causes! Additionally, the beam size (in pixels) was out by a factor of 1/ln(2), and this too has been fixed.
New features include greater control over the output format, by allowing the user to specify the precision of flux, velocity and SNR columns in output files, and by allowing the user to request different flux units than those in the FITS file (e.g. mJy/beam rather than Jy/beam). The karma annotation files also provide more useful guides to the shape of detected objects. As always, read the CHANGES file and the documentation for more information.
