Please let me know if you have any comments/additions for this final
announcement, which will go out to all participants tomorrow. Andrew, can
we provide more detailed directions for those taking the SkyBus and going
straight to campus? Also, any info on how to get to St Mary's?

Tony

Getting to Melbourne Uni
========================

Taxis from the Airport
----------------------
Taxis are available from the ground floor level of Melbourne
Airport. Expect to pay around A$32 to A$35 for the ~30
minute trip into the centre of Melbourne, a little less direct to
Melbourne Uni. Ask the driver to drop you in Swanston St near the
corner of Faraday St (opposite Monash Rd on campus) or near the
corner of Elgin St (opposite Tin Alley on campus).

SkyBus Phone: (61 3) 9670 7992
-------------------------------
SkyBus operates 24 hours a day between the Airport and the
city centre. The service runs approximately every 30 minutes
at a cost of A$12 each way. Drop off points are located
throughout the city centre close to hotels and facilities.

Finding the Workshop Venue: Theatre A in the Old Pathology Building
-------------------------------------------------------------------
The University is about 2 km north of central Melbourne.
Trams 1, 15, 21 & 22 running North up Swanston St. (e.g. from
Flinders St. and Melbourne Central railway stations) stop at the
University. Alight at the last stop before Elgin St. at the corner
of Faraday & Swanston Sts. The University campus is on the left/west.
A very short walk north takes you past the Ian Potter Museum of Art
(Tues-Fri 10-5, http://www.art-museum.unimelb.edu.au) and Brunetti's
Coffee shop (highly recommended!). Turn left at Brunetti's and the
Old Pathology Building is on your left about 50m down the pathway.

Note: the Old Pathology Building has recently been renamed the
Elizabeth Murdoch Building.

Parking
-------
We suggest you use public transport to reach us as there is no public
parking on campus. Limited meter parking may be available in the local
streets and the closest car park is Elgin St Garage, cnr. Elgin and
