Radio recombination line observations of the starburst galaxies M82 - Dr. Francois Viallefond Colloquium

Abstract

High angular resolution observations of M82 at 8 and 43 GHz using the VLA
and at 3 mm using the IRAM-PdB reveal the physical condition and kinematics of
of the ionized gas in the very central region of M82. Comparisons with results
published at other wavelengths will be shown to discuss various interpretations
which can be found in the literrature.
