Science with the Extended New Technology Demonstrator

19:00 Wed 06 Apr to 11:00 Thu 07 Apr 2005

ATNF Marsfield Lecture Theatre

The xNTD is a planned interferometer, consisting of parabolic dishes equipped with focal plane arrays capable of observing a very large Field-of-View at frequencies around 1 GHz. It will be located in Mileura, WA in one of the most radio quiet sites on earth.

The purpose of this one-day meeting is to discuss the exciting science which can be done with the Extended New Technology Demonstrator (xNTD) and to constrain some of the engineering specifications, such as the frequency range, the bandwidth, the number of frequency channels and the configuration.
