Workshop on Hyper-Compact HII regions

8 September 2010
CASS Headquarters, Marsfield, Sydney

The goal of this 1-day workshop is to discuss a way forward in the observational studies of Hyper-Compact HII regions so that we can achieve a sample of Hyper Compact HII regions for which the SEDs have been consistently measured in the range 1 to 100 GHz. The Australia Telescope Compact Array is perfectly suited to this task and is well placed to do the ground work for follow-up studies using ALMA and SKA.

The workshop is open to anyone interested in the field of star formation and will take place in Sydney the week before the conference "Great Barriers in Massive Star Formation" in Townsville.

The workshop program will include both invited and contributed talks and a dinner at a downtown harbourside venue. Registration is free and includes lunch.

If you would like to attend the workshop then please email Kate.Brooks @ csiro.au and mention whether you would like to present a talk.

More information about the workshop, including a list of participants and a preliminary program, as well as local accommodation information will be made available in August.

This workshop is funded by the CSIRO Ruby Payne-Scott Award.
